Variation #11 forms part of Inga Krymskaya’s ongoing project 3045 Variations on "The Feast of Venus", which reimagines Peter Paul Rubens’s celebrated composition through a series of contemporary reinterpretations. Across the project, the original image is transformed through different visual styles and media, generating new narratives while retaining a connection to its historical source. In Variation #11, the composition takes the form of a large-scale tapestry, where the Baroque scene is recontextualised within a contemporary visual and cultural framework.
