Hikari-tsugi explores the idea that destruction is not the end of existence, but one of its transformations. In Yamamoto's works, light gathers where matter has disappeared, reconnecting what seems irretrievably lost. Fragments of the body, natural forms, and memories are brought together through light, suggesting that absence can become the beginning of a different kind of presence. By reimagining kintsugi as an immaterial act of repair, the exhibition proposes light as a means of reconnecting what cannot be restored physically. Yuriko Yamamoto“Hikari-Tsugi”Light Mending
